Axel Springer freedom Foundation: Address Freedom
There are one million political prisoners worldwide. Russia and China are among the leading nations in this sad statistic. Dictatorships do everything they can to silence their worst critics. The Idea was that the embassies of China and Russia in Berlin are transformed into prisons with projections with powerful beamers. The faces of Vladimir Kara-Murza and Jimmy Lai were projected onto the facades of the Russian and Chinese embassies. We’d project the faces of these prisoners onto the buildings, turning them into temporary prisons. “Faces of Freedom” is part of a bigger campaign, “Address Freedom,” aiming to keep the pressure on by reclaiming the streets outside these embassies and making sure we never forget those who are silenced.
